From CNN comes this little video. Take careful note of the positioning- librarians are the naysayers and customers are open to new ideas. Yikes! Feeds right into old thinking about libraries... if you ever have CNN walk into your library make sure you sound open to new ideas, curious, progressive, anything but this!

"a fad for christmas" "forget all about it" coming from somebody in the British Library, it is quite worrying. Although he wasnt a Librarian as such it doesnt bode well.
As Librarians are trying to move forward with the times, one of the greatest libraries on the planet is ignoring what is blatantly the future. Maybe not in this form, but when technology improves to a point that it can mimick paper, we shall see. But to dimiss it outright is bad.
