Bubble Calendars

So what is WOM about really? First thing it is about is a great product that people will want to have but then it's also about letting people talk about that product. But even a successful WOM moment won't give us the result we want.  So we need to make sure we offer opportunities to make sure creative ideas don't get lost in yesterday's news.

Here's a great product that Guy Kawasaki of the How to Change the World Blog wrote about... Bubble Calendars. "You pop each day when it's done. A company from Brooklyn sells them for $50--$50 for bubble wrap! I love the margins as much as the idea. Put this one in the "why didn't I think of that" category."

Great idea. I love passing it around and talking about but will I buy one? Not today. I might for a gift, if I remember when I need it. Too bad they didn't create an interactive site that would keep me coming back- something where we all get to tell our bubble wrap stories, maybe a gadget for Facebook, then I wouldn't forget when that gift buying opportunity came up because I would still be involved.

Pretty neat. But popping bubble wrap is so addictive that I don't think I could possibly pop just one per day. So don't buy one of these for me, Nancy!
