Reaching out to commuters
The State Library has posted billboards at transit stations around New Jersey as one way to reach commuters. We are suggesting our librairans consider getting creative with their outreach efforts maybe an "Early morning Joe and audio book" event- giving away free coffee and info about audiobooks or maybe even have their customers take pictures of themselves (hey use those cellphones) and send them in to be posted online or in the library. They will also be telling their mayors and councils about the billboards. Any other creative ideas to share? How are people reaching out to commuters? Leave comments or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Looking forward to hearinf from everyone!
